Hello fellow redditors! To start off, I am 20 year old male and a sophomore in college. I’ve got a passion for business and I’m itching to get in on the booming legal cannabis industry. Now NY is still an illegal state with 3-5 more years to go till legalization by the looks of it (correct me if you have a different number) which should give me plenty of time to build up my saving and graduate with my business degree. Right now I have so much to learn and so many questions, i'm not even sure where to begin, and that’s why i’ve come to reddit for some guidance. My plan as of now is to focus on my college classes and read as much as I possibly can about every aspect of the industry from cultivation to distribution. I want to go around to neighboring legal states and consult with other dispensary owners to learn how they were get their business started. I’ve got lots of reading to do but I also have a lot of questions and concerns. My biggest fear is that im too young/too late or perhaps that the heads of the recreational marijuana business have already set their sites on the state of NY and will leave me with no chance. I need some guidance. Is this dream feasible for an individual of my age and experience? Where can I begin? What actions can I take right now to give myself that competitive edge? Links to additional resources would be greatly appreciated. I’d like answers to be as realistic as possible. Thank you for your feedback
