Sup ya'll, looking to compile a list of techniques we all use as entrepreneurs to increase productivity and # of work hours. I've worked with and heard of a lot of hustlers and heard of stories and tactics, so here's some context.
There are 168 hours in the week. The most I've seen someone sustainably work for more than a quarter is 112 hours per week. Now, sleeping less increases your chances of getting sick, preventing us from working this hard for long periods of time. I've only been able to work 112 hour weeks in spurts here and there. We all need to get the work done. Here are some of my tactics to keep going:
-Meditation & Mindfulness decreases stress and allows me to continue to work harder and longer, and this is my main strategy
-Finding purpose with what I am doing and convincing myself that what I am doing is important works as well
-Smoking pot after 8 hours of already working to do more work, albeit slower
-Drinking makes work a bit more fun in the same respect as the above comment with cannabis
-Exercise tends to increase my number of work hours per week by 5 - 10 hours or so. I typically try to walk ~2 miles, 3x a week to sustain myself.
-Along the same vein as exercise, eating healthy is part of my core strategy to not get sick for long periods of time
-Positive and motivational music helps me get through the days and nights
-Posting things publicly and telling people what I am doing helps me stay accountable
