I personally believe I have a good idea that some people would really like. How do I go about fabricating it?

I have drawings and designs. and I have built a small miniature model. Although it's not patient-able, I personally believe it's a good idea and I think it would help many people who were in my situation.

My trouble is that I am unsure how I can form and make a larger scale product. I need a large malleable plastic sheet and as well I would like to be able to fuse it with a fabric.

I just read the post about the nut button. and I wonder how does anyone make one of those... how do they choose the materials? how do they find a manufacturer? How do they design the button?
