Anyone have any advanced info/books on Psychology behind selling (emotional selling mainly)

So quick background of my history. I've been selling products online for over 10 years now. I've gotten lucky and sold affiliate products and went from making 10k a day, to losing it all, to starting over.

I'm very knowledgeable in... what I would call a 'jack of all trades online business.' If someone came to me and said I want to start an online business selling (Random Product), I could have a website, landing pages, ad campaigns, research info, etc. Basically an entire online business ready to go within a week. And I've been selling online enough to be confident enough that I could probably get that business profitable within a few weeks if the ad budget was big enough to give me the flexibility to test my ad angles till I found something that works.

Now there lies the problem with my current situation. I don't have a big budget right now to work on a project from scratch and build something up into a business from scratch. I rely mainly on doing affiliate marketing these days because it's easy and I only have to focus on selling.

Now I'm pretty confident in my ability to create a website that can sell products, but one area I feel like I need to focus on that helped me in my early days was selling with emotion. After all these years I can honestly say that from everything I've learned and tried when it comes to selling online, it always comes back to emotion.

I tried doing some basic research on where I should ask this. All the sales / affiliate marketing subreddits and places online just don't have that advanced level of discussion. I was going to post this on the psychology subreddit, but I don't think it would be allowed.

So now I'm asking this question here. I'm looking to see if anyone here has any suggestions on some advanced psychology info / books / media when it comes to why we buy things, or why we do what we do, or anything sales related. And let me just be upfront. I've been doing this for 10 years. I've read and gone over a lot of the basic recommendations offered on your average sales discussion boards (robert caldini, david ogilvy, brian tracy, tony robbins, watching videos like the century of self, etc, etc, etc). I'm not looking for surface level recommendations. I want to delve deeper into the psychology stuff, the material that a lot of these sales guru's got their data from to write books about 'how to sell' to new sales people.

I feel like there's still a gap or a connection in the psychology world to the sales world. I feel like nobody has really mastered that connection yet. There's a lot of cool tricks people figured out like price anchoring, how many options to offer, how the layout of your store should be to maximize profit, etc ,etc.

All great tricks and tips, but I'm looking to get as close as possible to understanding what goes on in someones mind that makes them click that order button on some product they don't need and how they got to that point. 90% of it came from an emotion / story in their mind. All good selling paints a story in the customers mind as to how their product will change their lives. But I wanna know why this happens, how it happens in the brain, and how to get better at reproducing those feelings.

I know asking this there probably isn't an answer to this, because if there was a concrete answer companies wouldn't need to spend billions a year testing new ads, But I want to get as close to that point as possible. And I think my next step is delving deeper into the psychology side of selling. So I'm reaching out to anyone here in hopes one of you might have some recommendations for me I haven't come across yet.
