Hey all! It has been a long time since ive posted. I want to give you guys a breakdown of how I leveraged my dropshipping results to get a mentor worth well into the 8 figure range + struck up a great business deal.
DROPSHIPPING RESULTS:
I started dropshipping heavily in 2017, quickly scaling to 1k'day in sales using facebook ads and selling watches. I think I was one of the first to heavily push the F+S ads on instagram, and also used paid promotions to get some great results. One of the things I have always wanted to learn is property development as I know its one of the key ways people make money in this world.
THE PLAN:
I set my eyes on a successful but approachable developer in Brisbane and built a connection. Each time I got cool results in dropshipping, I would show them to him and tell him how he can use the same tactics to get results (e.g. building an email list, offering value, then a promotion). He gave feedback and showed me his results in return.
THE METHOD:
About a year ago and after a bunch of meetings of me showing him results, he asked me to jump on board and help him get his message out there. I told him I was more than happy to, and did 2 months for free, providing as much value as I could and focusing on getting him results. My role was to full out rooms for him to present to. After the two months, I told him I wanted half the risk, but half the reward. He was 100% on board and we have been working together since.
DROPSHIPPING IN 2019:
A lot of people look at dropshipping as a failing business model. I tell them they need to start looking at the bigger picture. It is a perfect way to learn how to do marketing, business, customer relations and more for FREE (or for profit). You can then use those results to take you to many places.
BONUS:
For anyone that has made it this far, a hint is to add a free video course relevant to your product / niche that they get if they buy a product. Now you are selling something that you can easily imply 10x the value of what it costs. E.g. selling pottery, add in a course on how to grow X plant + results (think about how easy an upsell would be after that)
