I'll get it out of the way by saying I think my idea is good. The difference with this of the many ideas scattered throughout notebooks/sticky notes/phone apps is that others respond positively to the idea to (these aren't people who sugar coat it, they've shot down and drilled into some previous ideas I've had).
I've told only a handful of people who would all be in (my assumed) target demographic and I can directly communicate with many many more in the same demographic. The ones I've given an elevator pitch to of the idea have given very positive feedback.
What's the next step? Is it getting a basic prototype to show people individually and then developing it more based on feedback? Should I make what I've pitched and release it to the public asap? Some other third thing?
What: SaaS, Mobile App. Unsure of if it'll begin on iOS or Android.
Who: Young adults. Early to Mid 20s is the primary target. It could appeal to older ages as well but is not the focus.
Costs: Unsure. If I value my time at $0/hr, then it'd start at roughly $150 if i remember correctly for both Android and iOS, then costs would scale up and down with the number of users.
Money: Hadn't thought this far ahead. As the service is now, I believe a subscription method similar to Spotify's would be suitable and practical along with similar pricing. Money might be able to come in from already established businesses if promoting their business or directing customers to their products. Selling third party items would be out of place for this.
Thanks!
