Hey guys!
Like many/all entrepreneurs, I'm tired of the typical 40+ hour a week job life.
The town I'm from has next to nothing to do. A run-down bowling alley, and a run-down movie theatre that's actually closing down soon. There are 5 high schools in a pretty small radius, so there are lots of teens and young adults.
I was thinking of the idea of having a hangout place where all are welcome from around 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, then from 8:00 PM to Midnight, have it be either 16+ or 18+. The reason: most adults/older teens don't like being around younger kids, and vice versa.
Here's what the place would include:
Arcade games. I have a relative who owns lots of old arcade games who I could buy a few from.
Snacks and drinks (duh)
House board games, as well as board games for sale. (Munchkin, MTG, DND, et cetera)
Video games. (Wii U, Xbox One, PS4, maybe PC?)
Pool (I have a $500 billiards table.
I was trying to figure out how to, you know, make money. I could offer a monthly/yearly pass, charge at the door, or maybe sell "tokens" to play things like billiards, video games, and arcade games. Maybe you could rent the board games.
What are the pros/cons of this type of business? Also, the legality behind it? Should I keep it 16-18+ 24/7?
