I'd like to find fellow consultants who specialize in a complementary niche to mine, so that we can connect our services and offer more to clients.
I'm not exactly sure how to go about this.
Questions
- Does it make sense to google for agencies and cold email or cold call them to ask if they're interested in long-term partnerships?
- Do solo consultants and agencies typically want to partner with someone coming from the blue, or would they see me as trying to snipe their business?
Background
I'm an eCommerce automation software consultant.
I help companies take product listings and complex data from System A and integrate things so that listings automatically go into System B, at scale.
Niches I'm guessing I could partner with
- CRM consultants
- Logistics consultants
- Enterprise eCommerce consultants (but these would be trickier, since there might be too much overlap).
- ________ <--- what else??
I'd love to get your ideas on where to start looking and what approach would make the most sense (and be genuine/non-threatening).
I'm already partnered with some sales/cold outreach folks, but I'd like to be able to expand my core service offering as well.
After batting this around in my head for a long while, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask you entrepreneurs to share your experience.
