I'm not new to entrepreneurship, but all of my previous (and current) endeavors relate either to utilitarian products or products aimed at middle-class buyers. Recently I've been toying around with the idea of developing a product aimed at luxury buyers, but it occurs to me that I'd be facing an uphill battle in gaining recognition and admiration in an industry full of highly-respected brand names.
Does anyone here have experience breaking through that barrier and successfully launching a brand of luxury products?
