Anybody ever take an authentic hand made Sub Saharan African product and marketed it in The States / Europe ? Would like to run some questions past you please

Struggling to get stockists for my products even with better markups for them then currently offered by middle man. What advise can you give me on approaching New York based or l.a based entrepreneurial fellas/ladies that would be interested in such ? Efforts appreciated
