7 stripe disputes in 4 days

So all of a sudden my stripe disputes have just ballooned. 7 in 4 days have come through and most of them are ridiculous in that the customers never contacted us so we had no idea the dispute was coming. And they aren’t actually fraud probably just the customer not happy with the product or likely they didn’t recognize the charge.

Now the big issue is that stripe and the bank take so long to decide (months) and even then the chances of winning are low. So I end up losing the money I paid my supplier and the extortionate admin fee they add on for the dispute.

I know it’s a cost of business and I get like anywhere from 30 to 40 orders a day split between stripe and PayPal but it’s really eating into my profits now.

I like PayPal in that disputes can be won much easier plus there is no admin fee. Would it be crazy to only accept PayPal? Or will I lose a lot of business? I feel like a lot of people can’t be bothered doing transactions through PayPal.

I also fear stripe will ban me (I’ve been with them for over 2 years now, probably 3 years). But I guess if they do I can finally switch over to shopify payments and save a bit on fees anyway, I’ve just been a bit reluctant to switch as I am based overseas and accept most of my customer payments from US customers so I’m not sure how that will go.

Anyway customers rarely respond when I contact them about a dispute and when they do it’s very angrily usually. It’s really killing me this. I work so hard and these people just file disputes without any concern or contact to us before.

Anyway bit of a rant but I’m not sure what to do, I guess there’s not much I can do.
