I'm thinking that YouTube would be an easier platform if you want to make money from Adsense. If you think about it its easier to become visible, you don't have to pay for a server, so little overheard, your viewer has centralized focus on the screen and will be likely to click on an ad because of it, the video ads also pay well
with a website or blog, its harder to rank in search, plus people who search are not likely to click your ads because they are looking all over the page, and they most likely have an ad blocker or they are ad blind by now
Also youtube has stuff like patreon which is very popular and super chat, Ive watched a couple of super chats and people were donating a lot of money to be highlighted. one chat I watched was an hour long and toward the end of the chat I tallied up how much was donated and it was like $2,755 dollars and this person wasn't even a youtube star probably only had 5k subs. Just for one super chat on youtube session, but I'm guessing youtube gets a portion of those donations.
