I have been brainstorming a business idea for over 8 months and it's definitely not a project I can take on by myself. Well, today I learned that the hardest step (or about as difficult as starting) is finding partners to collaborate with...BUT...don't worry...the good news is, I have also learned that if you actually have a plan AND goal in mind and make it clear, you're more likely to generate interest. I wrote to a Facebook group (a small private group of 20 members) today about my idea and generated no interest in collaborating. I wrote to another FB group (another small private group of 15 members) about the same idea but also mentioned how I'd really like this plan to be a successful one because I'd like to generate enough income to support myself while exploring other things in our field. The latter generated a lot of interest. Although it may be obvious that the purpose of starting a business is to generate income, people don't see it that way when you try to communicate your idea; you do need to remind them of the prize (an important concept from NLP).
TL;DR summary: One of the most difficult steps in starting a business is finding partners to collaborate with unless you have a clear purpose AND goal and mention it.
