Hey everyone,
We started just about a year ago selling on Amazon. Initially we did very well considering we started around January and sales were amazing and then tapered down as hype died. Fast forward to today and our sales have plummeted and we're having a hard time figuring out why. We've been on seller central and there's essentially two trains of thought on the platform:
- Amazon stopped playing nice with google and sellers on the platform are suffering. There are a lot of sellers with multiple years on Amazon saying this is the worst sales has ever been.
--or--
- Customers have moved on, suck it up buttercup and learn how to do better. LOL
We're in the retro gaming market and you can check out our products here: www.poundtechnology.com
There's not a whole lot of competition on what we sell but it really has been a pretty drastic decrease from when we started earlier this year.
We're looking to launch on different sales channel soon (ebay, walmart.com, our own website) using 3PL and were wondering how other e-commerce sellers did after they struck out on their own off of Amazon's platform.
Any feedback/comments are appreciated.
Cheers, everyone!
