Hi r/Entrepreneur! So me and my partner are starting a marketplace website, and have chosen a developer to finally start the project. I am a UX designer by trade and made all the designs, designed a lot of custom functionalities for the project. I worked hard and put a lot of myself into the project. My question is, is it wise to get my developer to sign an NDA? I’ve tried reading here and elsewhere about NDAs, but the consensus seems to be that no developer is looking to steal just an idea and that implementation is important. But in my case I’ve already put a lot of work in myself, so I’m wondering if it’s smart to protect my work, and whether it’s rude to ask my developer to sign an NDA.
Thoughts?
