So I was laid off a couple months ago and have been doing a little freelance work in the graphic design field. Since I have limited other options and most age cies in town seem to have adopted the gig economy I am kind of forced to pursue freelance as a fulltime role. I have lurked on here before as this has always been something I have wanted to do but been scared to take the plunge. Now that I have been thrown in its sink or swim.
At what point should I create an LLC and separate my business income from my personal? Is there a threshold of say 2k a month that makes the most sense? Should I just do it now even though I'm only averaging 1k a month?
Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.
