I get a lot of good ideas for apps, and made a few. But I keep reading how on Mobile, you are building a business in Apple/Google's castle - and you ultimately don't control your business. On the web, I get very few ideas, but at least I could completely control the fate of my business. To employ myself, I would like to make products rather than provide a hourly service like consulting. I've narrowed things down to mobile apps or web apps. I don't want to be product of my business. Has anyone had to decide this, or have any thoughts on it? The benefit of mobile seems to be that it is monetized more easily.
