Hello, i've recently started looking through the 2 main types of franchise system i could potentially buy into, Business format and Product / trademark. I also bought a franchising handbook that suggested it would be a good idea to look at the common characteristics of the two and the main differences. I understand the differences but i struggle to see what common characteristics exist other than using the given brand name and paying royalties. Could anyone shed some light on this it would be much appreciated, thanks.
