I think I finally got to the point where I can say my little sideproject is now a small business! But I need guidance on the next steps!

Hello r/Entrepreneur s!

In March 2017 I released the mvp of what would become https://everyday.app. Back then I didn't even think anyone would pay for it so I didn't charge and shared it for free. After talking to some friends and a super successful post on r/GetDisciplined I got convinced yo start charging for it to be able to maintain it and it's been growing ever since. For the most of 2017 it barely made $500 a month and I had very little time to work on it on a daily basis, but I kept improving it with whatever I could get done. I had the feeling that it'd could be something bigger but didn't have the resources/skills to get it there.

It's been quite the struggle for most of 2018 while freelancing but in the end of august I finally released the most requested feature, the companion mobile apps the back then standalone web application. Since then, organic traffic from the app stores has doubled my revenue to more than $1000/mo. That together with the renewals from the previous year (I have a yearly subscription model at $12/y) has really taken the app to a different level and most importantly, it has changed my mindset and the way I look at the project. That's why early last month I decided to quit freelancing and give it a try, this is not a sideproject anymore but a potential real long term business for me.

I am still incredibly bad at marketing, but knowing that people enjoy my app and most importantly they stick to it for a long period of time getting the real value out of it makes me think that's just a matter of time until I can really take it to the point where I don't need to think of the monthly revenue. I obviously have a zillion ideas of where to take it from here but I lack power of execution. The more I work on it the slower I move. On the other hand my initial goal wasn't to grow fast but just to grow to a point where I could live from it, so my question for you people would be from a strategy standpoint, what would be your next steps? Would you invest all your savings in getting someone onboard to ship faster? Would you keep hustling on it living off savings and serially experimenting with marketing?

By the way, the app is #2 on ProductHunt (https://www.producthunt.com/) today! It's awesome to be getting such a good response to the second version of the app after all the work I've put into it, every day, no matter how little I could work on it!

I'd totally love to get in touch with anyone who thinks can help me grow! Especially developers who've been in my situation before and who managed to make the leap in the marketing world. When I went from 0 sales to 1, it blew my mind, and now that I'm close to cover for my monthly expenses (eating a lot of pasta ;D) I feel the only problem between the app and real sales is my mindset! I need to make that mindset leap! I guess I need to see it happen to actually believe it :)

Damn, I started rambling, sorry about that :P Any feedback will be super welcome!!
