One of the most important things you can do in life is Find Your Why. Here's how I do it:
1) Take a piece of paper and turn it horizontally.
2) Make three columns. Label them Current Me, Pathway, and Future Me, respectively.
3) Fill in the left column with all of the things you’re good at, all of your accomplishments, and any skills you have, no matter how silly.
4) Close your eyes and picture yourself on the day you retire. Dream as big as you can. Fill in the right column with everything you envision. Where are you living? How large is the company? What’s your field?
5) Every step you take, every decision you make goes in the middle column. That’s the pathway from current you to future you.
6) Tell a friend.
