My company currently has some custom desks that cost alot of money. They are going to buy some in December but they're looking to save money. I have independentky sourced all the parts to make them myself. I would just have to assemble them. I am looking to make a profit. I know the owner and I'm pretty sure that if I tell him that I'm making them he will low-ball me or expect me to make them on company time at cost. I told him that I know a guy that can make them and for alot cheaper.
How can I collect payment for the project without them knowing that it's going to me? Since it's a large sum of money I need to provide some kind of EIN or SSN number for their tax purposes.
