I have tried and tried to find an answer to this so please don't downvote just because it sounds like an over-asked question.
Every single thing I've found written on building a following, reaching a market, growing a mailing list, etc etc, starts with "ask your family and friends, ask them to tell their family and friends." I am searching for a different approach.
So, as a fictional example, let's say I am the front man of a widely successful Satanic Black Metal band, and I decide I want to start an evangelical Christian email ministry. If my family, friends, or fans (who are all devout Satanists) find out then I'm screwed. I have to keep my two lives separate, so I have to be able to reach a new audience entirely anonymously and entirely from scratch. Where would I start? How could I proceed?
Obviously, this is NOT my actual situation, so don't feel your answer needs to address the specific problems related to a satanist starting a Christian ministry.
