Here's how Facebook and Instagram changed today. Major platform changes/news summary for 11/2/18

Facebook:

1) Facebook announced advanced (expanded) Facebook Page Analytics Beta. For Facebook Page Analytics you can now go more granular on a post level and more clearly define events that go from engagements like follow/unfollow, impressions, like/unlike leading to conversions. You'll get an email and notification when the beta is accessible to you.

2) Facebook added the ability to put polls in all types of video not just live video. You can also decide which part in a video's timeline you wish for the poll to appear.

Instagram:

1) Instagram added a new ad variation, Promote for Stories. Now you can show your slideshows to more people by choosing to target similar followers to your page's own for example or any of Instagram's targeting options.

2) Instagram Account Analytics Beta was announced. For Instagram Account Analytics more data and info will be available to you than Instagram Insights like lifetime value of customers who engaged with your content. You'll get an email and notification when the beta is accessible to you.

3) Instagram now allows you to share IGTV videos to your Instagram Story. This feature is accessible by tapping the paper airplane icon.
