I help some people in the emerging company and venture capital space who work with entrepreneurs. I do my best to stay in the background and facilitate introductions, and I'm not very savvy about details. One entrepreneur told me today that he expects a VC firm to finance his company (near mid-8 figure valuation with only a MVP and soft letters of intent from potential customers) and approve a market rate CEO salary. It didn't seem logical to me and wanted your input in scenarios where this can actually happen.
