Are "self-help gurus" real entrepreneurs to you?

Take someone like Tai Lopez or any other "guru", their main source of income is selling some kind of training whether it be a online course, coaching or a book to build a specific business like amazon, drop shipping, etc. Some of these guys straight up fake their credentials with fake or inflated numbers (fake amazon or shopify screenshots.)

However, there are legitimate people out there that talk the talk and walk the walk that also train. There are some courses where I've legitimately learned a lot from and gained a ton of value which turned into more money for me. Sam ovens has one of the best if not the best course on getting consulting clients. At the same time his whole business is teaching it to you. But his info works and people get results. He made $30 million this year off his $2k course and thats literally his only business. So does that make him a fraud?

One could argue college is like that. You have business professors that never ran or started a business who read some books to get their bachelors in business or mba and now they're trying to regurgitate that crap to you in the classroom. Do they really have the credentials to teach business? Does that piece of paper really hold any weight?

From a numbers stand point, its a dream business. You have 100% profit margins before ad spend. You can sell your trainings infinitely, in theory. Some of my friends think its a fine business model while others think its a complete scam model. I remember going to a mastermind event 2 years ago and spoke to this well known millionaire internet marketer. What he told me then always stood out to me. He said "you will always make more money from teaching "it" than actually doing "it."

Do you guys think someone that makes $30k a month doing affiliate marketing but makes $100k a month teaching affiliate marketing is a scammer. Maybe thats a little too extreme of a word. Let me re-phrase, do you think that person is a real entrepreneur? I remember getting suckered into paying this guy $6k 2 years ago when i got into the online business game. Him showing off all his cars and watches on his news feed got me. Turned out all the revenue screenshots he was showing off was from money he got from clients like me smh lol. So what do you think? Do you respect these guys as real business people?

TL:DR - Are make money online guys real business people?
