25, out of college, getting a start up rolling.

Like the title says, 25 and out of college. Got good grades and a great degree, but I decided I wanted to pave my own path.

I am currently starting a company and am funding it 100% on my own. My only predicament is that I still live with my parents and am unemployed because I am dedicating my time to this. My parents often push me to get a typical job. That goes pretty far against my life goals to just settle and do that.

I currently have available ~175k liquidated to my name and am using that to get things rolling with my startup. I have considered moving out but am trying to save so I can have an extra cushion if need be.

Also, the company hasn’t launched yet. Currently in the process of prepping for launch though.

To those who started a company or had a similar path, how would you handle a situation like this? Does it sound like I’m handling things wrong? Should I just get a regular job and balance both? Or be available and dedicate my time to my startup as I’m doing? I feel like I’m doing something wrong whenever I have almost any communication with my parents, but aside from that, what I’m doing feels right (aside from living with my parents at 25).
