What Should I Choose? Shopify vs. Woocommerce vs. Others

Hi guys, I know usually the answer to these questions would be "depends", so I'll talk more about what I think and my situation, and if anyone had experience with either platform could shed me some light.

I've just started an online store selling computer parts, accessories, digital products, and smartphones, etc for about a months now, and now I think I should decide one platform and stick with it for the long term. Currently, my store is running on Woocommerce with 50+ plugins (most of it are WooCommerce/YITH plugins), and hosting on business plan Kinsta.

I've been using WordPress for 4 years, and over the time I've also learned some PHP and server management, especially server speed optimization, so I would say I'm pretty equipped to handle Woocommerce site, but here are some questions that makes me wanna reconsider if I should switch to Shopify or some other e-commerce platform:

  • WP + WooCommerce give me 100% customizability, but I always felt like WP was not originally designed as an Ecommerce platform, I've tried my best to cut down plugins, optimize everything I could, also done server-side optimization (basically anything you can think of to improve WP site speed, I've done), I still feel that the website is not fast enough and it's sluggish. (Backend takes up to a minute to load (wp-admin/.../))
  • The plugin might not always work with each other, this particularly gave me a lot of headaches, sometimes I need to tweak the code in order to let them work together without having a conflict
  • Now as you tweak the code, it can sometimes end up messy during an update, and when you're having 50 plugins it means you will spend quite a lot of time fixing this and writing custom code etc.
  • Some plugin is really giving me a lot of headaches, such as the YITH Ajax Filter, it is a disaster in terms of SEO I need to set up a lot of rules to make sure Google doesn't see my site as a spam, those filter created 1000+ URLs that showing similar products.

All these problems actually led me to question on a single thing, which is scalability. So I did a search online to see if I can find any big brand, big company that are using WooCommerce, which I can't find much, most of them are just showing WooCommerce had a lot more market share than Shopify, but I can find a lot of big brand running their big online store on Shopify. These results convinced me Shopify are able to handle bigger sites, but WooCommerce was unable to convince me on that.

Now if you've made a similar decision before, or you've experienced with both platform, can you tell me which one you would choose based on the situation?

(Btw, I tried Shopify previously, but didn't like the limited customizability, but I think scalability are the more important question here..)

(Edit1: Forgot to say that Shopify transaction fees are 0.5~1% while using the integrated payment gateway on Woocommerce charge me 3%)
