I used to wanna be a comedian but then I did too much drugs and fucked up my brain. I’m left with 7,000 jokes, 1,000 poems. I’d say ~300-500 jokes are Mitch Hedberg level genius, and a ton of them are trash that I cringe at re-reading now. About ~25 poems are clever/sad, heavy emphasis on rhyme, the rest are meh.

I’ve tried twice this year to put the jokes in an e-book and sell on Kindle. The first one made me $7 (at random, I never advertised it). The second one I posted here, got bad feedback, got emotional and removed it (stupid, I know).
I posted a bunch on Twitter a long time ago but never knew how to grow an audience and gave up. I’ve thought of posting to /r/standupshots since those posts get tons of upvotes, but the “ROI” if you will (upvote ratio to Twitter followers) makes me think it’s bots on that subreddit. Still, haven’t tried, I don’t have a photo I can use.
It seems like Instagram is all the rage nowadays and I should be trying to grow there. I thought of telling my jokes in video form in appropriate locations (AKA a grass joke in a grass field). Haven’t tried, just an idea.
I’m aware that jokes and poems are about the worst selling digital content, but it’s all I got.
