Hello Reddit Entrepreneurship!
Happy to be posting here. I'm hoping someone might be kind enough to help give advise on the following.
I've been trying to build a Teaware Shopify Store. I also found a great supplier I really like providing the exact styles of product I need. They are a very reputable seller on Ali Express, but I understand the the USA has it's own guidelines for ceramics safety for lead and contaminants.
I'm stuck at what kind of questions i need to be asking the manufacturer for documentation on safety and content of the items, as they are located in China. Like I said, I can see they are reputable, have a great rating and large volume of customers, but I want to personally vet the products for my store, as well as make sure I am complying with all legal laws. Can anybody help provide me some direction? I've spent days lost on this, the manufacturer sent some certification documents but it was in Chinese. They also say they already have distributors in the USA, so I know they are most likely legit. Just not sure what to ask/ look for for proof and legal documentation?
Any help would be huuuuuugely appreciated. I'm stressing over this when I should be spending more time building my store, brand and social media, and marketing strategies.
