I was at a bar last night having a drink. Guy asks what I do. I’m a Technical writer.
Him: “well you should consider doing FB ad optimization, so much money in that.” (He continues speaking without me saying more than yeah, u-huh, yep, for 25 minutes).
He was going off about his business, which he classified as a Christian social business. He took an in-depth explanation about what a social business was despite not gauging whether or not I understood what it was.
He told me how many degrees he had.
Explained liabilities to me like I was 3.
Bragged about how he hadn’t paid taxes in 3 years bc he knows the system.
My question, how do you engage with someone like this?
