So, I am starting a home improvement business. Few years of experience and there is a need for my area because the market is over saturated with big general contractors but no one to handle small stuff. Anyway, I am thinking about implementing a subscription style “monthly maintenance” trip. The idea is once a month I go to the house and check things like fire alarms, gutters, hvac filters, sinks for leaks, etc. I was planning on only charging around 30 dollars for what may be an hour of work just looking but not replacing ANYTHING. This will give me a chance to upsell to my customers other services I offer such as dryer vent cleaning while making a few extra bucks on the way home from a bigger job also. Thoughts, ideas, problems I’m not thinking about?
