I have had quite a number of businesses in the past and have been able to find interested investors along the way, but one of my latest businesses is a tough one. It deals with clients world wide and the profits and sales can be quite huge. It's a lot of work, and growth costs quite a bit of money as you really need to be able to travel, meet with clients, talk the talk and walk the walk, not to mention that sometimes you do have to do a bit of waiting as the money involved is quote huge.
An example would be that we just closed a $600k deal that took about a week, we have another 300k or so deal in the works, and are looking forward to some other pretty big deals. profit is about 10 - 30% net on some of these. These particular deals are relatively small deal because it helps to have deep pockets. I have a few other partners in the industry and these guys have good investors and are killing it, however I have the skill and contacts, while they have enough access to capital to make up for the lack of skill.
So I guess my question is, where do you find investors that like high risk, high profit, niche type of businesses. It's not the marijuana business, but I can imagine they would be the same type of people who invested in bitcoin or marijuana, people know or understand the potential, but know that you may have to spend 10 or 20k to make 100k.
