Here is my CTA-free summary of the news for the day. Hope you had a fun halloween! Enjoy!
Facebook: Facebook is requiring agencies to confirm their relationship to a business/client if they are running ad campaigns on a client's behalf.
Businesses/clients will be able to assign "advertising partners" so that agencies running retargeting on their client's behalf will be able to access retargeting. If you already run ads on a client's behalf you will have to update your information within the first half of 2019.
Instagram: Instagram is adding Hashtag Search and API to Businesses on Instagram. You are now able to find videos and photos that are public and have been tagged with a # relating to your Business and account.
Twitter: Twitter is testing with some IOS users (a home screen button) the ability to toggle between an algorithmic timeline to reverse chronological timeline of activity only from people you follow. Hopefully it rolls out globally!
Pinterest: Pinterest rolled out a new ad format to all business accounts today. Now your business can use their new Promoted Carousel ads to utilize 5 swipe-able images to direct people to any 5 urls/landing pages you designate.
You can also add a title and little description blurb to each image similar to Facebook's carousel ads.
Ebay: Ebay rolled out Volume Pricing which means you can now offer your customers the chance to order more items at a reduced/bulk rate.
